Reflecting on 2023 as a Creator and Business Owner

2023 has been a year full of ups and downs for me as a creator and business owner. My business has changed and evolved and I’ve found more balance by doing less as a creator and getting more personal on my pages. I’ve cultivated an incredible community in Soulcial Suite where I’ve been able to help so many creators achieve their goals. It hasn’t been an easy year, but looking back, I’ve learned and grown so much.

Today, I’m going through my journey as a creator and business owner throughout 2023.

  • They are different from hashtags because you can only add one tag per post, you have to manually add the tag within the composer, and the topic tags can be multiple words with spaces.

  • They opened by saying that creators make better ads, so suggested that brands partner with relevant influencers to create Spark Ads that help increase trust in the creator and the brand.

  • The five tips included: grabbing attention from the start, fostering a personal connection, showing the product in action, using high-impact creative elements, and closing with a clear call to action

📈 Instagram released a “2024 Trend Talk” that shares what younger audiences want to see

  • “Meaningful connections” was the top priority for Gen Z, with them saying they want to use social media to keep up with friends and family more

  • Predicted fashion trends included: modest dressing, thrifting, repeating outfits to be more sustainable, wearing clothes in unexpected ways, and DIY.

🗓 TikTok shares their annual “What’s Next” prediction report

  • The three top trends are:

    • TikTok helps users discover new trends and topics of interest

    • TikTok has introduced new forms of storytelling

    • Brands can establish trust with their audience through TikTok

🤖 Virtual influencers are on the rise and brands are paying them

  • AI characters are being made and gaining a following on social media, opening them up to brand deals.

  • They aren’t perfect, but it’s the start of this and it is continuing to grow, which could affect real influencers.
