How to Use LinkedIn as a Content Creator

Instead of sending hundreds of cold pitches, you could just be learning how to use LinkedIn as a content creator. You’re likely sending hundreds of cold pitches and barely getting any responses, never mind actual paid deals. As a creator, this is one of the most discouraging things to experience, and yet we experience it every single time we send out pitch emails.

So, in 2021, I decided to create a different method — what has now been coined “The Anti-Pitch Method” — and go straight to the source by connecting with the people behind the brands. How do I do this? Well, on LinkedIn. But, how do you get your profile ready to start reaching out? How do you find the people to reach out to? What do you even say?

Today, I’m giving you the scoop on all things LinkedIn — specifically as a content creator — so you can build relationships with brands that lead to genuine partnerships.

🎥 All publicly posted Reels clips are now available to download

  • This has been an option since June in the US, but it is being released worldwide.

  • Reels will be downloadable by default, but the creator can choose to turn it off if they choose

  • Downloaded videos will have an IG logo watermark

🚫 Instagram is working on a feature to filter spam followers

  • Accounts that are likely to be spam will need your permission to follow you. You can toggle on/off this option in your settings once it’s available.

🗓 Instagram is working on a feature called “My Week” that will keep the stories you’ve shared over the last 7 days

  • This feature will allow you to keep stories shared over the last 7 days.

  • You can remove any story

  • You can quietly add a story to My Week only

  • It’s unclear where the “My Week” tab will live

🤖 TikTok Adds New Conversational UI To Help Guide Its Algorithms

  • TikTok is creating a new “Customize Feed” option within the For You page settings that lets you converse with AI to customize what you want to see in your feed.

  • Examples include “I’d like less magic in your For You feed in the next two weeks”, “I’d like to see more posts from creators I follow” and “Include more pets in my For You feed”.
