How to Get Brands to Notice You (And Pitch You Partnerships)

Are you tired of sending out countless pitches to brands?

Getting paid partnerships is not easy and can be so discouraging when you’re doing all of the pitching and not getting the responses you want.

But what if you didn’t have to be the one to pitch all the time and instead brands came to you looking to collaborate? What if instead you had brands reaching out to you?

After my years of being a content creator full time, I’ve gotten my fair share of brand deals both ways. And having brands come to me already knowing what I do and what kind of content I can create for them is not only empowering, but it also saves me so much time and effort.

So today, I’m giving you the scoop on how you can get brands to pitch to you instead of always being the one to reach out for collaborations.

💵 New updates to the TikTok Effect Creator Rewards program

  • This new fund sets aside $6 million to pay creators who make effects that go viral

  • To join, creators must now have five published filters, and at least three of them have to be used in 1,000 videos.

  • The pay rate will also be variable now instead of a flat fee.

📰 YouTube is testing out a Community Posts Feed on mobile

  • It will highlight text-only/image and text posts

  • “We’ve heard that YouTube users are looking for more ways to find Community posts from creators, so we’re experimenting with a “posts-only” feed on the Home tab on mobile devices. If you’re in the experiment, you may see a “View all” button on single Community posts on Home, which you can tap to view more posts from channels you’ve engaged with in the past or posts that we think you may like. To return to the Home tab from the posts-only feed, you can always tap the back arrow button at the top left of your screen. We’re testing this feed with a small group of users on Android and iOS mobile devices.”

🧵 Threads is exploring the option to add DMs

  • It could be part of their plan to integrate messaging on all Meta platforms, making it possible to see all of your messages in one inbox, accessible from any Meta app - Instagram DMs, Messenger, and WhatsApp.

🔉 Threads is rolling out post editing and voice notes

  • You would have five minutes to edit your post after uploading

  • There will be an icon indicating that the post has been edited

  • They’re also releasing “Voice Threads” which will appear as an attachment within a thread

💻 You’ll now be able to post TikTok videos from third-party platforms

  • Platforms like Adobe, CapCut (I saw this on the desktop version!), DaVinci Resolve, SocialPilot, and Twitch.

💬 TikTok will now have auto captions on all videos

  • Instead of having to switch them on, they’ll be enabled on every clip

  • Creators will still be able to edit captions after posting

  • This will help with accessibility and allow users to watch TikToks without sound.
